cDNA and complete amino acid sequence of mouse P2(450): allelic variant of mouse P3(450) gene.

From a Xgt11 cDNA library derived from isosafrole-treated DBA/2N mouse liver (1), the longest cDNA insert was sequenced by the dideoxy method. Over a range of 1,847 bp, the nucleotide sequence of P2450 is identical to that of P345O cDNA from C5YBL/6N mice (2) except for three isolated changes: C—»G transversion at position 1211, T—J>G transversion at position 1648, and T deleted at position 1672. The Ile-384 — • Met-384 change occurs less than ten residues from the "conserved tridecapeptide region" (3) and less than 70 residues from the cysteinyl-containing enzyme active-site (4).
